The Town of Brookline Department of Public Health is recruiting, training, mobilizing, and coordinating a group of community-based volunteers, known as the Medical Reserve Corps, who can serve during a local emergency health situation and assist with local public health needs throughout the year.

Our Volunteers:

	Alan Balsam, Ph.D, MPH Director of Brookline Public Health and Human Services Department The Brookline MRC provides the opportunity for residents to volunteer at whatever level they are available. If a person is interested in volunteering just for emergencies, we can accommodate them, if they are interested in participating in trainings and non-emergency opportunities that can be accommodated as well.
Bruce Cohen, Ph.D. Director, Division of Research Center for Health Statistics, MDPH THE MRC is a chance to share my knowledge, learn new skills, and give back to our community to keep us all as healthy as possible. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!
	Ed Lubar Sales The Brookline MRC allows me to join in a fellowship with other like-minded citizens who welcome the opportunity to serve and to help protect the larger community in which we are privilaged to live.
Jacqueline Herring NP The MRC trains the volunteer to "care for the community" in the event of an emergency. It is a wonderful way to collaborate with your colleagues and friends in the community, while you learn the steps needed to prepare for a disaster.
